Privacy Policy — EZ Lead Finder

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This policy explains what data EZ Lead Finder (“the Extension”) collects, why, and how it’s handled. It’s written to match what the Extension’s code actually does — update this document whenever the code’s data handling changes.

1. What we collect

Free account registration

If you use the free tier, we collect the name, email, and phone number you enter, plus a device identifier (see Section 2) and your extension/Chrome version. This is used solely to enforce the free-tier usage limit and prevent the same person from creating unlimited free accounts.

PRO license

If you activate a PRO license, we associate your license key with a device identifier to enforce the per-license device limit set on your plan.

Business data you extract

The Extension extracts publicly visible business information from Google Maps search results that you choose to run — business names, phone numbers, addresses, ratings, hours, and (if you enable it) website/social links found via a public web search. This data is processed locally in your browser and saved to files on your own device. We do not receive or store the business data you extract — it never leaves your browser except to be written to your downloads folder.

Device identifier

To enforce free-tier and PRO device limits, the Extension computes a device identifier from: browser user agent, platform, CPU core count, device memory, screen resolution, and timezone. This is a one-way hash — it cannot be reversed to identify you personally.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • We do not read or collect your browsing history.
  • We do not access page content on sites you visit for your own browsing — the Extension only reads pages it navigates to as part of a search you explicitly started (Google Maps extraction, or the optional Social Search / email lookup feature).
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.

3. Third-party services

  • Our license server (ezhr.online): stores your registration/license data as described above.
  • Google Maps / Google Search: the Extension reads publicly visible content from pages you search, as part of the feature you’re using. We don’t control Google’s own data practices.

4. Optional permissions

Some features (email lookup on a business’s own website, and the PRO Social Search feature) require the Extension to visit arbitrary business or social media websites. Chrome will ask you to explicitly grant this permission the first time you use one of these features — it is not granted automatically at install, and only applies while you’re actively using that feature.

5. Data retention

  • Registration/license data is retained as long as your account/license is active, plus a reasonable period for support and abuse-prevention purposes.
  • Business data you extract is stored only on your own device, under your control — delete it like any other file.

6. Your rights

You can request deletion of your registration data by contacting us or emailing info@ezhr.online. If you’re in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), those rights apply to the data described in Section 1.

This document describes the Extension’s actual data practices as implemented. If you change what data the code collects (new fields, new third-party services, new permissions), update this policy to match before publishing the change.
